Play It Forward with NFL Alumni

New Life Village is home to nearly a hundred kids — and only a handful of consistent older male figures around them. We wanted to address that in a way that actually meets kids where they’re at. So the Play It Forward Sports Mentorship Camp was born.

The coaches ranged from ex-professional athletes to leaders in Tampa’s fitness community — the kind of men these kids deserve to be around, not just for what they’ve accomplished, but for who they are. Drills, sprints, ladder work, and nobody watching from the sidelines: every mentor on the field, every kid with someone in their corner.

Sports is the language. Mentorship is the mission. Real connection changes the trajectory.
