Madi's Movement Skydiving Birthday

Madi’s Movement walks alongside young adults aging out of foster care — education, work, housing, someone in their corner. It was founded by Effie Santos to carry on the dream of her daughter Madison, who was killed in a car accident at nineteen and wanted to spend her life helping people.

For Nahemiah’s birthday, the movement took him skydiving. Ground training, the harness, the plane, the jump, the certificate, the sprinkle cake after. His words when he landed: the best thing he’s ever done.

Kids who move through the foster system get “normal” experiences skipped. This one got the extraordinary version instead — and a crew around him to celebrate it.
